Charging to Lead is training for youths in the troop to introduce the building blocks and structure of a troop by practicing patrol methods and demonstrate Scouting spirit. Learning about the fun way to learn Scouting skills and where to locate the resources, continue and expand the leadership skills by attending the council and national training that are available, and lastly to be aware of all the printed and online resources that are available to use.
There is no charge to attend, but registration is required. Unit leader attendance is strongly encouraged.
There are four modules in this training.
Module 1: Building Block
Module 1 covers troop structure and how to run a troop with the troop planning guide, utilizing the patrol method and Scout spirit.
Module 2: Putting Skills Into Action
Module 2 is a hands-on session held outdoor. Participants will participate in skills activities in a patrol setting to learn fun learning activities to take back to their troop.
Module 3: Planning
Model 3 addresses troop meeting planning, running the patrols leaders conference (PLC), and the annual planning conference.
Module 4: Training and Resources
During module 4, participants will explore additional training opportunities (council and national) and resources.

- Scout uniform or comfortable clothes
- BSA Health and Medical Record (Part A & B for all Scouting events)

- Water and snacks
- Masks are encouraged
